 Lifestyle Galleries – As per our initial plan, we intend to open 3 new Lifestyle Galleries this year to meet the demands of the high end customers and at the same time introduce innovative lifestyle products to the existing customers.

We are pleased to announce that we have achieved our objective. The first showroom was opened in the Dasman Center at Airport Rd in January (this year), the second at the City Center with an area of 450 Sq. Mtrs (earlier this year). and this evening we are inaugurating the third showroom, with an area of 750 Sq. Mtrs.

Doha, 8th May 2010 -- LG Electronics, a leading provider of business solutions, today announced the latest offering in its designer series of monitors, the W86. This stylish LED-LCD monitor is elegantly outfitted to saunter down the runway and is ready to bring a touch of slim, eco-friendly luxury into the home or office.

The W86’s ultra-slim screen rests above a ruby red base that shimmers like a polished gemstone. A golden band adorns the monitor necklace-like just below the screen. A rich, piano black surface encases the entire monitor, creating a clean, uncluttered finish. LG even gave special attention to the external controls on the W86. The LED-illuminated power button adorns the bezel like a brilliant jewel. Other controls are hidden below the bezel and reveal their soft red glow only when a hand approaches.

Another new feature, aptly named Auto Bright, precisely adjusts the monitor’s brightness based on the brightness of the room and the content on the screen, resulting in a better picture while also saving energy. The person that suggests what the public and a panel of judges agree is a journey that epitomises LG’s LIVE BORDERLESS™ concept will win business class tickets around the world and US$100,000 to spend on their 80-day odyssey.

The campaign marks the launch of LG’s latest design concept LIVE BORDERLESS™, a range of flat screen LCD TVs that use new technology to reduce the screen surround or bezel, and use an edge-to-edge glass panel to enhance the screen’s sleek design attributes. The new technology marks a radical departure from traditional LCD panel screen design.

“LIVE BORDERESS™ can mean different things to different people and we want to find the person that captures the very essence of the concept. LIVE BORDERLESS™ SL90 Streamlined Screen with Superior Picture Quality Set to Change TV Design in Future

Doha ,Qatar 20 January,2010 : Hunting a greater share of the Middle East television market, which currently stands at 20 per cent, LG Electronics, a major player in the global flat panel display and audio-video devices market has launched what it believes is a ‘game-changing’ TV that will forever shape the way televisions are designed in the future. LG’s SL90, a full HD LED LCD TV that is almost as thin as the single sheet of smoked glass it resembles, uses unique Injection Compression Molding technology and film lamination to eliminate the gap between the screen and the bezel creating a seamless flat panel.

“With flat panel screen sales increasing in the region, design and function are increasingly important to the consumer,” said Mr. C.V. Rappai, Director/ General Manager - Jumbo Electronics, Qatar. “They are demanding thinner, flatter screens that look stylish and fit in with modern home design and furnishings.

“Where LG is taking design is to remove the bezel surrounding the screen and produce a television that has a completely flat surface. Our first version of this is the SL90 which while there is still a thin bezel around the screen, we have used technology to create a single edge-to-edge panel to give this TV a very stylish flat screen that sets it apart from any other on the market.

“In addition to the stylish design, LG has introduced energy saving modes that reduce power-consumption by up to 80 percent compared with conventional LCD TVs making this one of the most environmentally-friendly TVs on the market.”

A special sheet of laminate film completes the SL90’s perfectly flat surface, causing the boundary between screen and the bezel to vanish while also significantly reducing glare. The result is a uniform, uninterrupted surface from edge to edge, with no visible borders. The screen and bezel are the same deep shade of black all the way across and LG even carried this down to the glasslike stand. With a depth of just 2.9cm, the SL90 is a stunning design for a new world of home entertainment.

“The LIVE BORDERLESS™ TV is captivating whether on or off, acting as an elegant centerpiece for any living room and drawing viewers in with its high-quality LED-backlit picture,” added Mr Rappai. “Our SL90 and other LIVE BORDERLESS™ TVs demonstrate exactly how LG is leading in innovative design and working to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of consumers.”

Inside the glossy exterior, LG’s SL90 hides technology that produces a superior picture using a LED backlight to produce an extremely high dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 for truer blacks and finer gradations between grays. An anti-glare full HD 1080p screen reduces distracting reflections and for fast-moving action sequences, LG’s TruMotion 100Hz technology improves sharpness and fine detail while reducing motion trails for exceptional clarity.

With LG’s recently refined Invisible Speakers, the SL90 sounds exceptional without the need for unsightly speaker grilles that would ruin the TV’s aesthetic. LG’s new slim invisible speaker delivers superior sound quality and makes the TV look slimmer.

The SL90’s ability to connect wirelessly to an entire library of digital content is as attractive as the TV itself. Bluetooth brings music, and photos from compatible mobile phones directly to the big screen without any cables. This same technology can be used to connect wireless headphones for private listening. A USB 2.0 port hidden on the SL90’s side opens digital media options even wider, playing JPEG, MP3, MPEG4 and DivX files from external hard drives, memory cards or thumb drives.

While the SL90 may be a stunning shade of black on the outside, it is totally green on the inside. This TV has five distinct energy saving modes and uses up to 80 percent less power than conventional LCD TVs. LG’s Intelligent Sensor, which reduces energy consumption by analyzing the light in a room and intelligently dimming the TV’s backlight, also adjusts other picture settings to improve image quality and contrast.

We are inaugurating our new corporate complex this evening within our own premises, exclusively designed & built to house our many activities and shall be the base for our business domain. The ground floor & basement are designed for the showrooms – giving the customers the opportunity of experiencing LG’s comfortable lifestyle. The mezzanine & first floors shall house the corporate offices.

In this new era we are also harnessing our resources & experience gained as a preferred general electronics trading organization in Qatar, which has grown into a multidimensional service/solutions provider therefore consolidating it under the name & style of JUMBO Electromech, which will be formally launched in the near future.

JUMBO Electromech is a MEP Solutions Provider for the construction industry. It is now a fully integrated MEP Solutions provider with activities including turnkey projects of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Fire Protection & Safety Equipment, Built-in & Stand-alone Home Appliances.

JUMBO Technologies will be the Technology Solution Provider for the real estate sector. Innovative products like Home Automation, Solar Panels, LED Lighting, LED Screens, telecom related solutions are the specialties.

These solution providers are incorporated into one division to take care of any major project from apartment buildings to high rise towers.

 Lifestyle Galleries – As per our initial plan, we intend to open 3 new Lifestyle Galleries this year to meet the demands of the high end customers and at the same time introduce innovative lifestyle products to the existing customers.

We are pleased to announce that we have achieved our objective. The first showroom was opened in the Dasman Center at Airport Rd in January (this year), the second at the City Center with an area of 450 Sq. Mtrs (earlier this year). and this evening we are inaugurating the third showroom, with an area of 750 Sq. Mtrs.

Life Style Gallery is one of the largest dedicated LG Showrooms in Qatar that showcases an entire range of LG products under one roof. This being the signature showroom of LG Electronics is totally designed as a one-stop destination for the entire family to fulfill their needs. On display are the latest 3DTVs, LED TVs, DVD player, Air-Conditioners, Refrigerators, Mobile Phones, IT Products and a vast array of Home Appliances range.

LG product ‘experience zones’ are set up in each of these showrooms enabling customers to experience first hand on “LG Lifestyle Products”.
